What will a low/no carb diet for 2 days do for you?

On the radio this morning they said if you have almost no carbs/or none for 2 days it helps you lose weight/lose fat/etc , is this true? what does this do for you

Not sure if 2 days is enough. Basically carbs are fast energy for the body, and when you deprive the body of that supply it finds another supply which is stored fat cells. Which it has to burn to make this energy, in turn losing weight. I will say you may feel sluggish for a lil bit and may have to up your protein intake. Hope this helps.

If you’re eating less calories then maintenance you’ll lose weight regardless of no or low carb diet. It’s not gonna show any difference in just two days. You might lose weight but it will probably be water weight that you’ll just get back. However, if you stay no or low carbs (under 40 grams of carbs a day) you’ll go into ketosis, which is where your body uses only your body fat for energy. So once your in ketosis, every second of the day youll be burning fat. So yes 2 days of no carbs will make you lose weight, but it will most likely be just water. For real results try no carbs for a weak, but keep protein high. I’ve done this and it works wonders.
