I only have a GED and I understand that on top of that you need 15 college credits for them to really consider you the same as a highschool graduate, but I also understand that the rules are always changing. I dont want to talk to a recruiter until I get through this court stuff(about speeding) and get my lisence back, I know I'll have to tell them about it, I just want it to be over first. I want to know if (1) Do I really need those college credits and if so will they pay for it? (2) Do I need to be a registered nurse or something before I join or will they teach me all I need to know while Im there and will they pay for it? (3) How long will I end up being there if I am able to pass the tests and meet all the requirements to be a medic? I know it'll be for atleast 8 years, but how much time will be added to that because of the education I'll need? I want to join so that my education will be paid for and also because I have a lot of soldiers in the family as well as doctors and combinations of both. Im afraid of the government owning me and I guess more people than you think, male and female get sexually assaulted in the military, it"s more likely for that to happen than for someone to be killed. Statistics like that freak me out. I dont know why I added what Im worried about, haha. Anyone have any answers?
