I seen a show and it said that some pills would effect birth control pills your best bet is to googel it and if that dont work ask your docter

Answer #2

I was at a dentist recently and one of the disclaimers on the form I signed was that an antibiotic they use would. Ask your doctor to be safe on something this important.

There are countless of anti-biotics out there so it is pretty difficult to determine which ones would have an affect on your pill without consulting your doctor.

I can give you a few general rules that apply though.

  1. St John’s worth, a herbal antidepressant, makes the pill ineffective
  2. Generally antidepressants do not affect your pill
  3. Antibiotics for acne almost always has a bad effect on the pill. So if you are taking anything for your acne use a condom as well.
  4. Klonopin generally renders the pill ineffective.

Other than that, there is NO WAY to tell whether you are pregnant by looking at symptoms only. You WILL have to take a pregnancy test.

I also advice, because you are taking so many different medications to phone your doctor and ask about it’s effect on the birth control pill.
