Who takes the pill for birth control? Am I protected all the cycle?

I have been taking the pill for 5 years, but have only recently been using it for birth control.

I am on Levlen AD. The active pills are 21 beige pills and there are 7 inactive pills are white. I finish the beige on the Friday, start the white on the Saturday and get my period on Tuesday.

Am I protected against getting pregnancy if I have sex on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday?

Answer #1

Yes that is correct. Dont be like me. I was on birth control and got pregnant.. but im a forgetful person and never took it at the same time everyday if I even remmebered to take it at all. then id end up doubbling up on pills and getting sick.

Pick a time you will remember, set alarms do whatever you need to do and it should protect you about 99%. But like said nothing is 100 % effective. If your really worried just use condoms.

Answer #2

yes, your not 100% proteced obviously though because no birth control or contraception is 100% effective but your still proteceted from pregnancy on the white (placebo) pills by around 99% if you take the pill correctly

Answer #3

As long as you take every pill every day around the same time yes the suger pills (white) still protect u
