Am I having pregnancy symptoms or birth control side effects?

i just started taking the pill 3 weeks ago. i had sex 2 weeks ago. I keep getting headaches & the outsides of my boobs hurt when i touch them. Kind of like a sore feeling but not the nipple, but just the sides of them. And i sometimes feel sick but not to the point where i feel like I’m going to throw up, and not every day. I don’t know what to do, because those are both symptoms of pregnancy AND side effects of birth control. And since birth control makes you have lighter periods, that makes it even more confusing. I’m going to wait until after my period is due to take my test, but do u think i should be worried about being pregnant? When i had sex we did use a condom, and i was on the pill for a week when we did it (even tho the pill doesnt really start working a month later). But the twist to this is that the weekend i had sex (which was a sunday) my period was over on friday night, and then came back that sunday, so we thought it would be safe to do it while i was bleeding. But i think it was breakthrough bleeding because of the pill. i have never been so confused in my life. please someone who knows what there talking about..help me.

Yes it could be symptoms of both. This is what you do, wait until you are due, if your period does not come take a test a few days later becos it may just be late. You have your answer.

If you are not pregnant then you need to give it some more time becos your body could be just getting used to the pill. If in another month you are still suffering these symptoms you need to go bak to your doctor so they can discuss with you changing to another pill that suits your body more.
