Excersizing

So I’m starting this new excersizing routine where I’m going to run a lot more. Before I didn’t really excersize, I just used to moderately play sports. But now I want to get more in shape so I’ve decided to go running. Just yesterday I ran for 30 minutes, nonstop, and this morning my legs were a tiny bit sore. I’m just wondering if I should run again today or instead do something less intense like bike-riding, etc. What do you think?

Answer #1

Yeah if your legs are sore give ‘em a rest. But I’ve never found, or thought, that running was that strenuous. Your body should be able to cope with at least 30 mins a day when you get a little bit more used to it.

Answer #2

Usually you want to exercise one day then take a day of rest and do a different form of exercise - eg, dont’ work the same muscle groups two days in a row.
