How should I breath while doing sit-ups?

Is there a certain way I should pace myself while doing sit-ups? like a certain pattern?

No matter, just as long as you remember to breathe every now and then.

The best way usually is to breathe out as you perform the sit up because you are compressing your body and its generally easier to breathe out at this point. Then breathe in as you go down to a relaxed position, that’s how I do it and it’s how I was taught in school.

Breath in when you are laying down and breath out when you go up, also make sure to breath trough your nose, because if you don’t you will get that one painfull feeling on the side. Those are no fun.
