When you do crunches/ sit ups do you need to suck your stomach in?

To get a flat stomach when you’re doing sit ups do you need to suck in your stomach? I’m a 14 year old girl by the way.

Answer #1

Yea there both right but its a different thing between a flat stomach and having a lil bit of fat on your stomach, the fat part of your stomach, (when you pinch and pull your stomach thats the fat) wont be easy to lose, that fat comes from junk food and cant be burned of only by eating fruit and not that much junk food The reason I know this is because my coach told me and I had that fat still left after I’ve been working out for 1 and a half years, I started dong what he told me and now I barely have any fat left (I’m 14 as well so we should have the same metabolism, the only difference would be that I’m a boy) Hope I helped =)

Answer #2

you dont need to but you can if you want. I used to be a gymnast and when we did the we dont suck in we just did it and felt it burn. (REALLY REALLY BAD!) hope this helps

Answer #3

Yeah suck it in, and I believe that if you breath out while sitting up, it helps? im not sure though, but I think thats it.

Answer #4

Yes you do. You also have to breath a certain way. I forget if it’s breath in while you sit up and breath out while you lay back down or vis versa, but it’s one or the other, I know that. ahahha

Answer #5
