What: Is this correct?

Algebra I Okay, so we got this cylinder with a base with a 5 inch radius. The height is 9. The area would be 246.5 and the volume 2218.4.. is this correct? If not can someone please show me how to get the right answer? :P

Answer #1

Cylinder volume = v = pi r2 h

So

v = pi x 25 x 9 = 706.8 (or something close to that, I dont have a scientific calculator so I’ve only entered a few digits of pi)

surface area = 2 pi r2 h + 2 pi are h = 1413.7 + 141.3 = 1555

I’d redo those calculations using a scientific calculator so you have a closer answer but your answers seem to be way off.
