Suffering Why?

Why are we always expected to embrace suffering like it is a part of our life’s. And that is that deal with it. What?

Answer #1

It was not Gods will for us to suffer… however, we now live in a fallen world, where suffering is very much a part of life.

How we respond to the suffering makes all the difference in the world.

I know that in floss’s mothers situation, that prayer and faith, are what is carrying her thru.

You can look at her response, and see the faith that she has, that is part of the healing process with and for her mother.

Without that faith, and prayers, where would she be???

What kind of an attitude would she have???

There is another user on here, that also has cancer…

However, she too, has faith, and prays, and trusts in God ability to see her thru.

And she continues on, with a good attitude.

Perservering, in the face of trials.

Faith makes all the difference in the world, when one faces something like this.

Answer #2

Suffering is a part of life. Get use to it. Without no suffering then there’d be no compassion. When people suffer, others learn from it and it makes you a stronger person and you learn more about life.

Answer #3

I kinda can understand what you’re saying but people tend to think of some things as a learning experience and whatever don’t kill will definitely make you a stronger person.

Answer #4

Not all of us put such a high importance on suffering. I would gladly suffer for the sake of my Savior, but do I want to suffer? NOT ON YOUR LIFE!!!

The point many of us make, is that with out suffering, there would be no heartache. Without pain, there would be no joy. To fully understand what you have, you must understand what it would be like if you lost it. I find I more appreciate each and every moment this way!

My mum’s just had an operation on a brain tumour which nearly killed her. Two months later she is, amazingly, out of hospital and learning to live at home again. She is not dwelling on her suffering, past, recent and current. She’s just having a great time back at home! The fact that she’s unsteady on her feet and having difficulty talking doesn’t stop her enjoying life.

Suffering IS a part of life and we DO have to get used to it (thanks kimberly). We can make it worse for ourselves or better for ourselves - I have seen that in my family’s life now.

Answer #6

I assume you mean religious people expect you to suffer… Well that is because they cannot find an answer to why God would allow babies to starve to death, and kids to be killed, tortured, raped and turned into child soldiers, prostitutes, and the list of suffering goes on… So their answer to all this is, it’s in God’ will… Simple answer to your question is, they cant make up a better answer

Answer #7

If there was no suffereing we wouldn’t know what pleasure is.

Answer #8

…because other people have no problem imposing their ideals on you. Ignore them. Suffering sucks.
