Is walking really good for you?

how good is walking? I know running is probably better but i live sort of far from my school and i have to start walking home so im wondering if i’ll lose weight by walking so much??? NEED ANSWERS!

It’s very good for you and yes, you should lose a little weight from it and increase muscle tone…Have a great year !!

Haha,yeah walking is good for you. Running is not actually better,lol since running you’re basically gaining muscle aka bulking up and you will weigh more,because once you get tired of running,all that muscle turns to fat. I walk rather than run,because I used to run and when that got boring I was all awww omg I was freaking because the muscle was turning into fat,and I got bigger which totally blows. So I had to eat way less and go walking,and now I feel so much better.The best time to walk I would say is when it’s not that sunny and it’s cooler weather. The spring and fall time isn’t bad,the worst time to walk is in the summer time and it’s really hot and mad sunny,and you trip over a crack or get wet because people and their dang water sprinklers. I can’t stand mostly at night whenever I do walk and they leave their sprinklers on or put em’ out at night and I have to take a different route to get around em’.Lol,one time I was walking in this guys grass,because he kept coming at me with the dang thing.I was thinking wow what an idiot. So yeah basically good luck on the whole walking thing,and if you do it in the morning,make sure to wear sunglasses. :D

Walking is good for you!

If you don’t walk too fast you won’t burn up calories so fast you lose weight. If you want to, you can walk faster, get your heart-rate up.

the best thing about walking is the toning. You’ll have well-toned legs first, then other parts will follow, And all from going to and from school? Awesome.

( Make sure your backpack is balanced and you wear it in the center of your back if you carry one. Good posture is important to effective walking. )
