How to I get into peak physical shape?

I met this really amazing guy and, before I meet him, I would like to make sure I look perfect.

I’ve already begun losing weight, thanks to our gym program, but I would like to speed it up so I can meet him in August.

I am 5”8.5 and 210lbs. (I know, fat.)

What are some things I can do to stay motivated, loose weight faster, and look good for my sweetheart.

Drink plenty of water, no soft drinks, white breads, or candyz. Then with the exercise your doing you should look great and feel better. And be patient. Stay confident when your confident everyone around you notices. I am so glad your motivated in loosing weight because it will help you with you health. Do what makes you feel best. Peak physical shape…means a lot of exercise. Both cardio and weight training. A variety of stretching (yoga, pilates, etc) and running as well.

Proper diet with little to no bad stuff (fat, sugar, cholesterol) lean protein (especially chicken / fish) and plenty of whole grains, vegetables and fruit.

If you’re serious about it then you simply need to start doing all of these things, keep a journal or write it down and do them consistantly. You can lose about a pound a day at your size doing around an hour a day of exercise, but if you want to be in the very best shape you CAN be, then work up to a 2 hour routine, daily, with only one day per week of rest.

After around 3 months or so, your body will have gotten well past the neural training stage of exercise and be building decent muscle tone and mass. Around six to twelve months, unless you keep pushing your routine and vary up the repetitions, weight amount and the duration of your cardio you’ll probably hit a wall, which is OK, as you’ll be dramatically different than you are now.
