How do I get my splits down faster? stretch when sore or no?

should I stretch a lot one day and not the next couple days when I am sore and then stretch a lot again or stretch every day even when I am sore and can’t go down as far?

NO you should stretch slightly every day. Dont push yourself to the breaking point cause you wont make any progress at all.

You should stretch every day. That will help your body getting used to the whole fact of doing all that work out.

Stretch for at least 30 seconds each day. That’s what I had to do in gymnastics (X If it’s sore, that should be ok, stretching is supposed to get rid of your soreness!(so long as your stretching not pushing) Also if you’re talking about the right/left leg splits (versus the middle splits) make sure that you’re legs follow a straight line in front and back. Also, be careful not to let yourself rest on your back knee. Keep it OFF the ground!!
