How can I keep my balance and stretch for scorpions?

Okay… so… My right leg is more flexible than my left. But my right leg is also more stable.

How can I make my left leg more stable so I won’t fall?

I can do heel stretches and scorpians, but not for very long because I fall.

And how can I stretch my back more… because whenever I do a scorpian it hurts really bad and it pops my back… and is there more than one way to do a heel stretch or scorpian?

I know I strayed from the original Q a bit, but please help!
