Should I keep going?

ok I started running and in the end of january the new season of cross-country starts but last time I was pretty good until I messed up my leg because it was the first time I ever ran in my life for sport and I stopped I’m not the fastest runner and I’m kinda scared because what if my leg messes up again but while I was doing it I was happy and ok so what shod I do?

get into running slowly, dont suddenly start again as that will deffo mess up your leg.
