Trying to lose 5 pounds how can I?
I am trying to loose 5 pounds . I used to be 115 and now im 120 I really want to get back to 112-115 pounds. how can I loose 5 pounds? like what is an effective way to loose it? im also cutting my calories to 1200 per day then I might go less. and how many calories should a 5’7 teenager who is 15 years old who weihgs 120 should have per day? thanks.
I’m not sure on the calories. In order to loose weight, here’s what I did after I had my baby - I lost 30 pouinds.
-No fried foods, only grilled or baked -Salads, but no salad dressing, use vinegar instead. -Stay away from white foods (carbs) -Make water your primary drink after breakfast (fruit juice for breakfast) -Stay away from any foods that contain fructose or things you can not pronounce -Eat 90 pecent of your meals at home - that way you know what you are eating -Use hot sauce and spices instead of buttery flavorings -Keep healthy snacks in your purse so you wont be tempted to buy junk food -Write down everything you eat - you are less likely to overeat when you see all you have eaten that day. -Use smaller plates - a lot of times we overload our plates and eat more than we should -Chew each bite - 20 times. If you eat too fast - you aren’t giving your body time enough to tell you that you are full. -Walk for 1 hour each day -Walk up and down stairs 20 minutes a day

First, determine from the information below, what your weight should be. Then set yourself goals of a week, 2 weeks, a month, 3 months, 6 months and a year. As you see yourself meeting your goals it becomes easier. Remember, you didn’t gain your weight overnight so don’t expect to lose if overnight. Plus, weight lost slowly is more likely to stay off than weight lost in a hurry.

One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.
But it’s not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.

Another thing that helps to lose weight is to always eat a good breakfast. That helps to jump start your metabolism which helps start burning calories. Also, try to drink 8 eight ounce glasses of water every day. One before every meal (except breakfast) and before all snacks. That helps curb your appetite which helps reduce caloric intake.
