What was your first car?

A 1987 Chevette. It was red. It had no muffler. The gas gauge was stuck on “full”, so I had to refuel every day, even if it was just a little bit. The passenger side floor was rotted. Then it caught fire.

Oh … now I have a 2001 Saturn … it’s a lemon.

I actually never had my own car. My man had a 15 yr old Mercedes 190 Diesel when I got my license. So I started driving on that one.

And after we married he bought a Landrover Defender-110 TD5. That one is the one I’m using currently. It’s now 9 yrs old.

It was a Suzuki Vitara, very lightweight and excellent on fuel. Didn’t last long. Now I have a ‘99 Land Rover Discovery. Terrible on fuel, but I feel safe in it, which is all i care about.

My first car was a 1979 Honda Civic. I bought it for $350 with 128K miles from a Baptist preacher. Four or five years later he saw me still driving it and said that if he knew it was going to last that long he would have asked more money for it. Right now I have a 2000 Mazda Miata and a 2004 Toyota Sienna.

a 1985 pee yellow Toyota Tercel hatchback. It only had 3 working cylinders (instead of 4) and no a/c. That car was a PIECE, but, i only had to fill the gas tank once every 2 weeks :D

Not my own car, meaning I didn’t buy it with my own money, I’ve yet to save up and get my own. But it’s mine to drive for work and school :) It’s a 2 door silver 2007 honda civic.

1990 Honda Prelude, I only got it like 5 months ago (I was using my mum’s car before that haha), I loved my car, it was black, had a sunroof, subwoofer… And everybody wanted to go places in my car! Haha. I sold it a few weeks ago though :’( Now I’m driving one of our spare bmws.

Why’d you sell it?

1994 Ford Crown Victoria. Very nice car. I’m not into Fords but this is one that has a reputation for great reliability. Now I’d just like it to prove it. Here I am 3,000 miles after I bought it and its sitting in the driveway not wanting to keep running. I think it either needs a major tune up (could have easily been forgotten in its lifetime, it is a low mileage car after all) or its getting a plugged catalytic convertor. Either way, I don’t think I’ll have it on the road very long, which sucks. Next ones a Chevy.
