Will the gas prices drop?

Do you think the gas prices will drop once Barack Obama gets into office?

Answer #1

Far from it ‘NO DRILL NO DRILL NO DRILL’ policy and he’s all for raising your taxes bigtime across the board !

Answer #2

I don’t think so. Barock Obama probably will keep them up. If we don’t start being more independent and tap our Oil reserves then maybe Gas prices will drop. Barock Obama will be a disaster for this country.

Answer #3

nope I doubt it. gas prices have become high in the uk too everything in the world is getting more expensive and I doubt thats gunna change very much

Answer #4

Obama’s election will have little impact on gas prices. If his fiscal and monetary policies cause the value of the dollar to increase, that will affect things a little. But the only thing that will cause a major drop in gas prices in the near future is a global recession.

Answer #5

I think they will cause people will eventually stop buying gas and they will have no choice

Answer #6

I believe we are in too deep of a hole to get out quickly. I agree with eleni that things will get slightly better after the election but greatly decreased prices. no.

Answer #7

I do think that the markets will get a little better because the uncertainty will be over (and markets take into account unrest) but I doubt they will drop significantly. There are too many factors going into gas prices for one person to affect it all that much at one time.

Answer #8

every election month gas goes down, so this election might happen the same way.but it always goes back up.gas should get better though. electric cars are coming out in 2010.

Answer #10

Gas prices will drop slightly but don’t look for a significant one. When the national reserve is full it will help little to none and when the gov’t finally authorizes off shore drilling again this might be the solution but this could take months or even years to pass in congress. so Don’t hold your breath.

Answer #11

“Far from it ‘NO DRILL NO DRILL NO DRILL’ policy and he’s all for raising your taxes bigtime across the board !”

Amblessed, how will drilling help this problem? We currenly use 25% of the worlds oil, and only produce 2%. If by some miracle we could even double it, it will have very little effect on price, and it won’t be seen for decades.

And you are only repeating the right wing-nut talking points (lies) when you say he will raise taxes across the board. His plan is to only roll back the Bush tax cuts on the wealthiest americans.

Still have that old TV with the station stuck on FAUX News?
