Why Do People Choose To Worship Satan?

Why do they (Satanists) want to worhip an evil thing that has caused so much suffereing for the entire human race? Why stand beside complete evil and call it good? What do people get out of a relationship like this? I truly do not understand why someone would choose Satan (evil) over Jesus Christ (Holy).

Do you have any reasons why you worship this fallen angel instead of his and our Creator of the world, Jesus?

Answer #1

Guys in the bible God tells us that Satan can appear as an “Angel of light” and I truly believe that he has come to many of you (who claim Satanism as good) as someone who is good and pure. After reading a lot of the comments here I did some research on Satanism and its laws, and yes, the laws don’t stand for anything bad, but this is exactly what Satan wants. Satan is the father of lies and will do anything to stop you from following the Truth, the one and only God, our Lord Jesus Christ. God tells us to be vigilant of this and look out for it. Guys please don’t fall into Satan’s traps… God is all that is good and only through him and no other can we be saved. Trust me, once you get to know your Satan for REAL, you wont be so keen on him anymore. Down here on earth Satan will give you whatever you ask for, and maybe when you pray to god he won’t, but blessed be the man who has faith in our Lord. This is Satan’s earth, and God tells us so, he has control over earth and has a lot of power. Don’t fall for his lies! That’s all he wants! God loves you so much, and it hurts him to see you falling into Satan’s traps.

jimahl said” “Orion, I was not the first person to post something that was ‘not the topic’. Why point me out?”

I apologize, more than likely the reason I “pointed you out” was because on other occasions you’ve given me a hard time so when you leave a comment, I am more aware of it than other posts…which doesn’t make it right, just understandable.

cap said: “…actually, there’s 6 (YES’s) on that particular comment …which justifies a response from the thread’s starter. Actually there are TWO other comments (all three addressing the thread topic) that you also failed to respond to. The fact that you DIDN’T, says something.

I don’t know what you are talking about…care to explain?

My friends: I used to come in here every single day for at least four hours, until lately. I’ve been sick and am only able to come in about once every other week for less than one hour. I hope you’ll understand if I miss your comment or don’t have the strength to answer all comments.

Answer #3

Nope, it actually really creeps me out to tell you the truth.

Answer #4

I don’t know why people worship Satan but, as you know, its the devil and, people who believe in Satan, that’s there choice to suffer and not get the guidence or help from Heavenly Father. As long as the devil is with these people, more power to him. Once they believe in evil, the holy spirit won’t take any part in helping them and, he won’t get near them since the devil has the power to create pain, and suffering. I would try to help those people to get out of this situation and, maybe these people will see the light.

Answer #5

thex13thxchild, I suppose you know that the symbol you have on your comment is a satanic symbol. . . . that makes Satan real happy because he knows he has YOU.

Answer #6

thex13 maybe because we know that if you say you don’t believe in Satan, then he has you exactly where he wants you!

You are being fooled into believing he doesn’t exist and that makes Satan happy…

But, I must say this; if you don’t believe in God it is just as bad. One way or the other you’ll end up in the same place, unless you walk in the light.

Answer #7

Hmm here’s a question for you why do Christians get more offended/jump your case more when you say you don’t believe in Satan than when you say you don’t believe in God?

Answer #8

becouse plp are idoits Satanism was made in the rebellion of christianity It’s not even worth being called evil it’s so pathetic on my opinion

here’s a site you might find intersting http://www.religioustolerance.org/satanis1.htm

Answer #9

well… if you think about it (I hhave wondered this too btw) they’re probably wondering why do they believe in god??

If you want to hear something really scary, go to youtube and search Stairway toi Heaven backwards… it’s so sad… it almost made me cry when my brother showed me… that’s how unholy it is… and I’m not even that religous!!!

Answer #10

Orion, I was not the first person to post something that was “not the topic”. Why point me out?

And it is relevant, since I was discussing the mythic origins of satan, and the fact that it is not real, so the question is moot.

Answer #11

Actually, being atheist doesn’t strictly mean someone doesn’t at all believe in god. I went to a catholic school and we learned all of that. You should check out this article whoever said otherwise: http://www.buzzle.com/editorials/6-28-2006-100691.asp

Answer #12

“Do you have any reasons why you worship this fallen angel instead of his and our Creator of the world, Jesus?”

Well it really wouldn’t matter, since niether of them are real…

Satan is another example of pagan dogma being bastardized by christianity.

Answer #13

because it is there religan everyone has a right to worship who ever they want to but I worship god not the devel. but everyone has a right to worship who every they want to

Answer #14

because yall can say whatever yall want but satan just wants the world to be a mess. and he hates us. but thats up to yall if yall dont want to believe.

:/ (jesus is coming)

Answer #15

all we can do is pray for those people. that through some turn of events (such as this question) that they will see that GOD is such a loving GOD, that by denying him they are only denying themselves a worry free life. GOD IS SOOO GOOD. GIVE HIM ALL PRAISE. HE GAVE US FREE CHOICE NOW MAKE THE RIGHT ONE.

Answer #16

captainassassin, atheists do not believe in God. They do not necessarily believe there is no God.

In some circles the term “strong atheist” is used to describe someone who believes there are no god(s) vs. “weak atheist” who merely doesn’t believe in God.

I don’t disbelieve in God though I find the various God theories very unlikely.

Answer #17

I’m curious what it is you think atheists believe in without proof.

Well, they believe that there is no God. But they can’t PROVE there is no God…

Answer #18

* “I think that Christians and Atheists have a lot in common. You both believe in things that you have no proof of.”

I’m curious what it is you think atheists believe in without proof.

Answer #19

jesus didnt create the world, btw, and since you have the right to worship god, or jesus or whatever, I also have the right to worship satan, or a pile of dog poo if I want to .

Answer #20

oops, I forgot something. Is it that you can’t understand why Satanists would choose to believe in something that doesn’t have a Heaven? I feel like to believe in Satan is to believe in God. Can you have one w/o the other? I don’t know what the Satanists deal is but I know yours.

Answer #21

im my belif I think that some people worship satin because he lured them in people with bad lifes sometimes start to beileve god hates them so they get into wicka and other occult like behavior some people could be born into a family whom already believes in the worship of the under world god also people who have strayed fom jesus if you could try and help these people out and teach them that satin is not the way then there will be more people haveing an ever lastin life aqll christians should help them to relise the lord God /Jesus cares about them a lot even tho they may be in satins path but satin does not care about them at all or any one for that matter

Answer #22

…actually, there’s 6 (YES’s) on that particular comment …which justifies a response from the thread’s starter. Actually there are TWO other comments (all three addressing the thread topic) that you also failed to respond to. The fact that you DIDN’T, says something.

…and you make YOURSELF look bad. I just put a big neon sign with pointy arrows over you.

Answer #23

Not my position but a Satanist I talked to made this point.

It is evil to punish someone who doesn’t deserve it.

We live a finite amount of time, therefore we can only have finite sins.

God dooms sinners to Hell for eternity which is infinite punishment.

Since sinners suffer infinitely more punishment than they deserve God is infinitely evil.

Since God is so evil Satan is comparatively good.

Answer #24

…and the probable reason nobody’s responding, is because they don’t worship the Satan the she’s depicting.

‘toadaly’ already answered her question, but it seems she’s overlooking the response. Because in her mind, the only Satan is the evil red guy with a pitchfork, or some other stupid variation, that Christians have been told to fear and/or ‘resist’.

That’s the crippling limit of the majority of Christian cognitive ability.

Answer #25

angelbaby, of course everybody has a right to worship whom ever they want to, but that isn’t the what my topic is about. I wanted to know from Satanists why they choose to worship something evil who has caused all the pain and suffering in this world…

again jimahl, that’s not the topic of this post…see above.

cintiaortiz and kcblayer, you are quite right in my book. You’ve “hit the nail on the head” with your comments, thank you :)

Answer #26

*captainassassin, atheists do not believe in God. They do not necessarily believe there is no God.

In some circles the term ‘strong atheist’ is used to describe someone who believes there are no god(s) vs. ‘weak atheist’ who merely doesn’t believe in God.*

I was referring to most of the atheists on this site. The argumentative ones, anyway. Which would be the strong atheists, in most cases… in particular, the one I was responding to.

Answer #27

Satanists (mostly) don’t worship the Christian concept of Satan. Most people calling themselves Satanists view Satan not as some evil spiritual being, but rather, as the anthropomorphization of self interest. There are Satanists who view Satan as an otherworldly being, but their Satan is not evil. Instead, he’s the demigod of humanity both in this world and the next.

I’ve heard there are a very few people who actually do worship the Christian concept of Satan, but I’ve never actually met one either in real life or online.

Answer #28

Well, without reading everyones answers, I’m going on my on here and saying that Christians do the very same thing that you are accusing Satanists as doing. They take something Evil and try to call it good. That ‘s Jesus.

I ask you…why do Christians want to believe in something that has caused so much suffering in this world?

I think that Christians and Atheists have a lot in common. You both believe in things that you have no proof of.

Answer #29

I’d like to add a comment to my daughter’s question here.

Filletofspam said this, “ It is evil to punish someone who doesn’t deserve it.

We live a finite amount of time, therefore we can only have finite sins.

God dooms sinners to Hell for eternity which is infinite punishment.

Since sinners suffer infinitely more punishment than they deserve God is infinitely evil.

I understand where you are coming from because I believed what you are saying, until I found what to Bible says on this issue.

The Bible teaches us that the wicked will be “destroyed” in the Lake of Fire; they do not burn forever.

God is not evil, He did not cause people to sin. He does not tempt us to sin or give us pain, Satan does all that. God wants us to choose Him to follow not Satan.

If we choose to follow God, then we will spend eternity with our Creator, but if not then by default we choose Satan, and damnation. They will be destroyed. Sin will be no more.

Answer #30

First of all satin is evil! I don’t know why people worship that evil thing but if they do it’s what they do. You can’t change people jesus died for our sins so I hope he has mercy on ya’ll soul. and if you want to put crap on the internet talking bout how god is evil and all those stupid stuff that’s your problem not mine. Plus because of god and my faith my dreams are caming true I’m actrully going to adutions and being in movies and stuff if I didn’t prayed or belive I wouldn’t have a director or go on adutions. I’m one of the few people that’s lucky to do that. So if you have anything bad to say keep it to yourself. God will punsish you because you judge him and his word. he gives you a choices that satin doesn’t, he forgives you for the things you do. Satin doesn’t do that. P.S. millons of christions don’t die it’s non-belivers so get your facts stright and read the bible

Answer #31

I greatly applaud you unknown2212 im am a christian but I still try 2 keep an open mind you made very good valid points on how many people died in da name of christianity but I believe da reason why satin is classified as evil is he chose 2 rebel against God and da obvios fact dact he resides in hell where people a are tortured 4 all eternity but da reason why many people died in da name of christianity in ancient times is because it pissed a lot of people off because da ways of christianity cotradicted their laws and goverment where back then you were forced 2 worshp the governments gods while christianity teaches their is only 1 God and their will b no other gods that stand before him,but da point is jesus taught 2 love your enemies I have a few friends that are satanists(I choose not 2 bring up that subject of religion 4 obvious reasons) and I also have pissed a lot of people off from expressin my beliefs 1 fine example is my ? “how is homosexuality a sin” but maybe because people choose 2 worship satin because they cant find that same peace of mind wit God. when disatorous events happen people usually blame God and ask why would he allow sumthim like dis 2 happen, may be that would b 1 of da reasons, or they were just raised that way

Answer #32

Satanists don’t believe in Satan, because then they would have to acknowledge the presence of God, whom they also do not believe in. They use the figure of Satan as sort of a mascot, to symbolize the duality of good and evil that exists within all people.

Answer #33

LOL captinassassin I am bowing down to you.

Answer #34

I wouldn’t call it ‘holy’ per se… ‘sacred’ perhaps.

Answer #35

Uhhh… if you say so…

Answer #36

good point captainassassin

Answer #37

Damn it to hell… (pun intended)

That actually makes sense.

Answer #38

DOG POO BE PRAISED!

Answer #39

it seems as the devil takes too much credit on the things that go bad, it really isn’t that way. we turly are sinful by birth, and only by god are we holy. the world has many diffrent point of views on satanist and christians!! if you feel so confused about this, why not ask and pray to god for guidance?

Answer #40

The Bible teaches that those who have the misfortune to be sent to The Lake of Fire (hell) will not be tortured forever and ever, but instead they will be ‘destroyed’ not root nor branch will be left of them.

Answer #41

the reason people choose to worship satan is because he represent doing whats natural for you as a human being so why not do it qwhay would you follow a religion that completely denies your human insticts and they are so hypocrical what is wrong with indulging in your desires it does not say any thing about doing some thing bad

Answer #42

oh cap you really know how to make me look bad don’t you…why throw out insults? There is no need for it.

I noticed toadaly’s comment and gave him a “Yes” on his comment…I don’t mention everyone’s comments. . . .

Answer #43

cintiaortiz AMEN sister! You said it!

Answer #44

Maybe THEIR Satan is not the same as YOUR Satan.

Answer #45

sigh …all hail satin, the most wickedly-soft bedsheets.

Answer #46

Ok. So first off you think satan is EVIL? wrong. Satan is not evil. Satan has nothing to do with killing, pain, death and suffering. You clearly have not looked into satanism. Satan caused suffering in the human race? How many people have died in the name of christianity? Can you tell me? I think close to a couple million? Thats quite a bit. Now you see as soon as something bad happens christians will automaticaly point to satan, and when there is good they point to god. Sorta like satan is god’s scapegoat for being malevolant? I will quote an athiest on this, I forget who it was that said this. “If god is willing but not able, does that not make him powerless? And if god is willing but not wanting, does that not make him malevolant?”. Evil? I think its safe to say christianity has cuased more pain and suffering in this world than any other religion. And thats based on fact. Look into satanism before you decide to judge it and speak about it in such an awful way. Do not call it evil, And do not say that satanists stand beside something evil and call it good. BECUASE SATANISTS DONT. You really are oblivious as to what satan is arent you? Read a book. Stop listening to the man in the collar and open your mind.
