Who else is in a foster house?

My parents turned my house into a foster house around 5years ago. It means that a family can come have kids, 17 and under come live with them..even babies. Some kids are troubled, abused, or neglected…or maybe just the parents can’t take care of them for awhile.

Anyways, about a week ago. We went from 7 people living in our house to 12! adding 5 kids into our home. with the ages of 2,3,4,5,and 6. I’m only the 17 year old daughter of the house but I’ve been the main care-taker of these kids. I love them as if they were my own. I’m learning so much responsibility, and I can definately pull off teen mom..I’m constantly thinking about them. I’m cutting my story short. but If anyone has anything to say about this subject..

My friend got pregnant at the age of 14…She lost her innocence at the age of 12… She had her babies at the age of 15. She was 8 months pregnant at her 15th birthday party. Her little twins still live with her today. They are 5 months old. Most of the time, I am babysitting. She is a terrible mother. I am only 14. I hate this chick I don’t even know how she became friendish to me!!! Her babies Alexa and Alexianya are so sweet!!! A small girl who goes to my church and always has a new bruise on her body. I feel so bad. Every time someone asks how she got that mark her father gives her the meanest look in the history of everything ang mechanically she says I fell down the stairs on accident. She is only 7 and I have a feeling she is not going to be around my town for much longer. Those are my two stories!!! It might sound mean but it’s ALL true!!!

Hey ilovebabies28…it you have accusations…shouldn’t you report them? Just so an official can check it out? Think about how your saving thatgirls life. you don’t hv to…I like your story—just saying I’d get my heart wrapped up in it. :)

at my school I have a friend that has parent that have a foster home. and she loves it you do have to have a lot of paience tho because they can possibly come from all over the world. but overall she loves it she has two newborn twin sisters from africa and they are adorable!!! but she loves that she can help them and the family. but the children dont stya there forvever unless you plan to adopt them!! :)

well good for you for being so great about it all. most 17 year olds wouldnt want anything to do with any of this. so thats awesome that you do.

I guess my only advice is that when you get kids that are REALLY troubled, you have to let them come to you. like, give them support etc but dont suffocate them. most kids will be grateful to be in your house but you will also get kids that are grateful in the inside but cant/dont want to let you know it. they have trouble with accepting love which is so sad. you just have to remember that inside of them they are grateful and happy to be in a better home than before and it may take a while but you will bring out the happyness within them!

I have a friend thats in a foster home… her mom abuses her so she went to live with her dad, and her dad passed away 3 months ago :( so she ended up in a foster home shes very happy and with a very good family and im glad your one of those heroes for those kids :] good luck with them.
