What do you think about this poem?

  • In Utero *

hush the sound of silence endlessly talking in tongues. as the clock hit past 6 you say, “What a beautiful day. I live for the summer.” You say, again, as if you mean. You say. And again, because to you it will have become.

I could listen to you breathe watch as the mist clouds the depths of your eyes. and I could find bliss. from this moment and in this moment I’m your captive, you’re my witness to a bittersweet falter in this silent summer.

as the sun touches your skin, your mouth disheveled into sin, “How can you not love this? a safe comfort to the world unknown.” as if a second of indecision has come, as if my stillness means none.

Yet this summer has begun without you as if it would’ve waited, as if it would’ve gone. as if it needed you, as if it needed one.

be not afraid. the worst you can do is see. you wander on flared, barren tracks, threadbare with much use. but the end is not revealed. from the noise you were concealed. and in eating the fruit, in keeping the seed; you’ve been fed, bathed, clothed, in this city of deceipt.

as I revel in the beauty of nothingness, I gasped, wailed, breathed, “this is how every thing feels.” in this summer, I speak in silence, “I was naked. and naked, I am still.”

I wrote this last year after a long hiatus from writing :( don’t like it that much. I prefer my other poem: http://www.funadvice.com/q/how_do_you_interpret_this_395813
