Trying to get some muscle...

Every night for 3 months now I have stopped eating after 7, run about 3 miles, and done 200 bicycles, 30 push ups, 20 leg ups, planks, 50-75 sit ups, and 25 squat thrusts. I am 5’9. Should I be seeing some muscle?

Answer #1

no, don’t expect to see any big muscle gain with that routine. you are doing exercises that burn fat, they will definitely tone your muscles but you will not be able to gain muscles with a routine like that. to build muscle you need to take in a lot of healthy calories and lift heavy weights. try searching google for some beginner weight lifting routines.

Answer #2

That is wayyy too much cardio for some massive muscle gain. If you are skinny then try getting a protein supplement to help you out and maybe some basic weights. You do not have a to lift a lot of weight to get muscular but you do have to lift something.

Answer #3

You can’t build your muscles unless you give up from building blocks like junk food and alcohol. Don’t think that you can increase your weight by eating such thing. It is not a healthy way to gain weight. Apart from these you will gain only weight that may be belly fat, thigh or any else part of your body but not your muscles. Try some green vegetables and fruits and it will keep you healthy and active. Green vegetables and fruits provide lots of nutrients, minerals and vitamins to your body such as protein. Protein is a natural muscle gainer. Forget about all market muscle gainer and try naturals. Eat lots of spinach and drink plenty of water even milk.
