Should I talk to my friend's daughter about this?

My friend whoes like grandma has a daughter that’s a police officer. Well, I was wondering, since I’ll be spending Christmas with the family should I talk to my friend’s daughter that’s a police officer about how I’ve been feeling about my family lately? I know I haven’t told many people about my parents except the counselor and a few others but, I haven’t told the police officer about them. Should I ask her questions about the PPO which is the Personal protection order? I’ve never received advice from a police officer before. Should I get advice from her? Your thoughts and opinions would be great.

Answer #1

Yes - ask if you can ask her some questions ‘off the record’ in order to explore your best course of action - the information to stay confidential, seeking professional opinion - she’ll probably be glad to…Have a wonderful Christmas !!

Answer #2

IMHO, I wouldn’t bother the officer for legal advice. You would be much better off consulting with a lawyer, maybe a Legal-Aid lawyer. I think police officers are trained not to give legal advice.

If you want someone to talk to, I’d suggest that you post a general question on the subject that is concerning you and then Fun Mail some of the people who post answers that you are most comfortable with for more direct communication.

Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

Answer #3

It certainly wouldn’t hurt to get her opinion but I’m not sure if I would do it on Christmas, especially if it will bring you down at all.
