How much weight can I lose in 2 weeks by not eating?

i was wondering how much weight someone can lose in 2 weeks by not eating. thnx so much !

Answer #1

NOT EATING IS A STUPID WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT. AND NOT GOOD. TRY COUNTING CALORIES OR WEIGHT WATCHERS. BOTH GIVE GREAT RESULTS. FIRST WEEK I LOST 7 POUNDS. AND 3 POUNDS THE FOLLOWING. AND THIS IS WITHOUT STARVING YOURSELF.

xwhimsical,

I think you need to learn more about human anatomy and physiology before you go making plans like that.

Yes, it takes about two weeks for the body to die of starvation. However, that does not mean that you will be walking around just fine and dandy for one week and six days of not eating, then just drop dead at exactly two weeks.

Starvation is a process. It’s slow and miserable. If you don’t eat, or even if you just don’t eat enough, you might notice that you get light headed, sleepy, or sick feeling as early as the very first day. Your metabolism will slow down as your body tries not to burn calories in an attempt to keep itself alive. Your body may begin to eat away at itself for nutrients, and I don’t just mean fat. Permanent damage may done to internal organs.

So if you go ahead with your plan, you could end up in the hospital, with permanent organ damage, or with various other health issues. I suggest talking to a doctor or therapist as soon as possible.

If you do not eat for two weeks, you would probably not live. If you did live, you would be in rough shape, possibly unconscious, in the hospital, or with permanent damage done to your body. That’s what starvation is.

You need to eat about 1700 calories a day (more of less depending on your size) in order to live and stay healthy. You should walk, drink lots of water, and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables in order to stay healthy and maintain a healthy weight.

Please do not stop eating. This is a big problem adn it can kill you. If you want to loose weight then jog and eat heathly. Also it depends on your family gene’s. If your family is a bit chubby then you may be too, if your family is skinny then you may too. It isn’t just your parents gene’s too it’s everybody behind them. Again please do not stop eating, this is something terrible to do. Try a diet if needed like weight watchers or something. If you do starve yourself then you can end up in the hospital with health issues and your organs can be screwed up. Trust me lossing a kidney of spleen or anything isn’t a good sign.

I am not saying never skip a meal but please stop and think about it. Don’t worry about what you look like. If the doctor says you need to loose weight then listen to him but other wise if you are doing it to look better so some one will like you. Don’t do it. Find someone who likes you for who you are.

that is very un-healthy starv your self? no way! just do a little work out 3 time’s a week.and if you dont eat for two week’s that sound’s like a death wish to me, eat what ever you want,(namly healthy food if that’s what you want) and dont worry about weight.

Answer #6

umm lol im actually wondering the same thing but you know the human body can go without food for two weeks ? well imma try one week and eat a meal after the week ends and then the next so i wont be all completely out of it x-x

Answer #7

Well first off, I wouldn’t give it a try. Not eating for extended periods of times can cause fatal end results or just as worse, irreversible organ damage due to malnutrition. Even though it may seem logical–cutting all intake of food and calories would equal weight loss, the side effects, again, can be deadly, even with maintaining liquid intake. I hope you’ll switch to a healthy diet (there are a ton of them around) and supplement with an appropriate level of exercise. The basic key/concept with most diets is watching what you eat and how often you eat and limit the time you spend on the scales. I can’t recommend a particular diet for you but asking your PCP/primary care physician will help with your goals and knowing what track you should be on. Take care and best of luck! :) -S
