Lower body firming exercises?

What kind of exercises work at toning your glutes and thighs other than lunges?

squats, mountain climbers (tell me if you dont know what those are and I’ll explain) laying on your back and pedaling like your on a bike.

I can thank my 4th grade P.E. coach for teaching me those wonderfull excercises. *sarcasm, because I frikken hated those, but they’ll work if you do ‘em right, which I didnt (:
