Is this normal at 30 weeks

For the past week I have felt so weird. Like my body in all has just felt weird. And I feel a lot of pressure down there.. It’s puffy like it has a lot of pressure and I feel more movement in my pubic bone area. And Im passing mucus clots. They’re really thick. I know it sounds gross but it’s pregnancy. Did anyone else experience this. Or maybe know if this is normal?..

The pressure is normal. The farther along your pregnancy goes the more the baby moves between the pelvic bones…it just means that your baby is getting ready.

As for the mucus, a lot of women pass what’s called a mucus plug, it’s at the opening of the cervix and it moves out as your cervix thins and dilates. It’s perfectly normal to start effacing at 30 weeks, my best friend walked around at 50% effaced and at 4 centimeters for 4 weeks till she had her daughter 2 weeks early.

Make sure though that when you go to the doctor you tell them that way they can check your cervix and make sure that you’re not advancing too far.

As for the feeling weird…you’re body is getting ready to go through a big change, it will feel different to you until you have the baby. When I was 30 weeks with my first I went through what is called the Nesting period…meaning you act like a maniac getting things ready for the baby, cleaning , getting the room ready, etc.

I know your pelvic expands. This actually is my 2nd child. And I my body has released to much relaxin to where my pelvic has spread too much and it comes together and grinds. I’ve been experiencing pain with that since 20 weeks

yes it is normal you pelvic bone is expanding so the baby can move though your birth canal

yes the pressure is just because the baby is growing a pushing down more. and I had the mucus coming out too. they said it was normal and only because your cervix is thinning out and getting ready for the baby to come and that the baby is pushing down cause you to discharge that mucus. its sound like your little one is about ready to come out and meet his/her mama. congrats and I wish you all the luck in your neveending journey into motherhood it is truley the most amazing/challenging adventure. I love being a mom and it is so precious. good luck
