Is it ok to juice/water fast once a week or once every other week

Does anyone know if it helps with dieting if the rest of the says your eating and exerciseing healthy

You should never water fast, your body needs water, it will help you lose weight, drink a glass or two of water everyday ( you will become ill if you water fast! ) . But juice is not like water, they are different, juice one or twice a week is just fine.

fau didn’t mean abstain from water fau was refering to a fast of water only.if you are doing it for weight loss water fasting is much more efficiant than juice because if you are drinking juice your body will still be digesting the juice and will not switch over to the catabolisim of fat. also once finishing a water fast it is good to ween yourself back on to food using juice then introduce fresh veg etc over the week after the water fast. also I would probably give it a couple weeks between each fast just to give your body time to get back to normal before you do another fast again.

there is also another type of fasting called intermitent fasting where you alternate eating and not eating each day as far as I’m concerned this would be a better method for long term fasting than alternating weeks.
