Just eating a salad every day to lose weight

Ok, so I have this dance thing for choir coming up and its a competion they pick a pair from every choir to compete and that would be me and my partner. It turns out we have a lift and im a little to heavy for him to lift me, well he can but it doesnt look right because hes straining to hold me and we want him to lift me with ease. I weigh 117 pounds and our competion is in 1 week. If I drink a lot of water, eat a healthy bowl a cereal every morning, eat a plain salad at lunch, then for dinner have a peaunt butter sandwich then excersise for an hour on my treadmill. Will I lose at least 5 pounds in one week? Then after the week go back to my normal eating habits.

It depends on how high your metabolism is.

I would say that you could most likely lose 5 pounds in a week, but if you’re losing more than they, it is becoming unhealthy.

This should not be your regular diet, however. Once you lose the 5 pounds, I suggest you start eating a more balanced diet and stay active to maintain the 5 pound loss - you’re already a lighweight, and being thinner than you already are is not a good thing.

Everybody’s differnt so it depends wheather you burn calories quickly and the rate or your metabolism.

There’s no link with drinking water and being thinner but it does make you feel fuller and less likely to want to snack. Also I think it would be better if you included some sort of oily fish in to your salad like tuna. It wont make too much of a differnce but it will vary it abit.

And remember eating less doesn’t always mean your going to loose the pounds. I tend to loose weight when I eat more!
