How do I deal with my parents

Okay, I am almost 18 years old and my parents, mostly my mom, dont trust me at all. I’ve tried to talk to them about letting me go out and have fun with my friends. She has drove me to having to go to therapy and talk to someone about my issues. She, my therapist, even thinks that my mom is crazy and that I should tell her what I want to do. THe only problem is that I have no clue how to tell my mom to just cut the cord already and just let me grow up. I mean shes never even let me sleep over at someone house. I am almost a adult and how am I supposed to make decisions? What do I tell her without totally upsetting her to tears?

When you turn 18 cut the cord yourself. Shes most likely going to cry if she is that attached. Theres nothing you can do to change that. But that is ridiculous to be near 18 and not have even had a sleep over. Why dont you ask her how in the heck you are supposed to be ready for the world out there if you dont even do the simplest teenage things. Just tell her how you feel…if she doesnt understand or doesnt even try, find a place and move out.
