Ex's Best Friend

I’ve slept with my ex-boyfriend’s best friend on two occasions. I think my ex may still have feelings for me but he’s not really forthcoming about it. I’ve really begun to have feelings for the best friend. I have no idea if I was just a conquest or if he has real feelings for me. He’s been acting kind of weird ever since the last time we hooked up–he’ll make it a point to get me to go out with them and then later on he’ll get a flakey and head home early. Or he’ll pay for me to go to a concert with him but he’ll still get other girls’ phone numbers. He’ll flirt and then pull back–constant hot/cold.

I tried to confront him about the weird behaviour hoping that I’d get some insight either way but he just kept saying “don’t do this–not here, not now” and said something about not backing him into a corner.

I’ve tried putting this in the back of my mind but it’s not working. Does he have feelings for me and can’t do anything about it (further) because of my ex or was it just sex to him?

My advice would be to ask him again, but at a time when you two haven’t been fighting or are around anyone else. Him saying “not here not now” probably means he wasn’t comfortable with the enviornment you asked him in. So try again, but change the location to a private one that he can’t use to claim as an excuse for not answering.
