My ex told a friend he has aids

me and this guy were dating and haveing sex just one day he decided to ignore me and all this and about a month and a half later me and some people who are friends with him and talk to him told me that he said he has aids… I know he went to get tested when we were going out but I dont know the out come of the test and I cant get ahold of him at all and im freeking out because I know we had unprotected sex. but the person that I talked to hasnt lied to me before and I dont think that he would lie to me now and I dont know why my ex would just say he has aids inless it was true. I know I have to get tested but im so scared to find out if I do have it. what should I do?
