Do dogs have cramps on their period?
OK my mom needs to know how long a dogs period last and I need to know if dogs, like people, have stomach cramps during their period because my dog is in hers and she keeps wining like shes in pain or something. And if they can have cramps how do I help her so shes not in pain?
Actually, they are in heat for 21 days…one week going in…one week IN…one week going out…Don’t take that diaper off early…

Dogs go into heat, not have “periods”. It last about 14 days. Yes, they do have cramps, get irritable, just like a woman. You can give them OTC pain reliever. I have a 3 year old female pit, trust me.
well,the first thing you should do is go to like petco or something, and buy a dog diaper. im sure that they have cramps just like humans. but I dont know if they cant be severe. call your vet and ask. their period lasts about a week.
I think they do have cramps and you cant really help them, because the same thing happened to my boyfriend’s dog and they couldnt do anythin bout it
