When a girl dog is spayed will it still have its period?

I would like to know because my mum doesnt want to have one because of this reason and I dont want one either because of that, also she doesnt want a boy dog because when they get exited she dunt like it so it would really help if you knew thanks

Answer #1

no…they do not go into heat.

Answer #2

thats what I was thinking. Only higher primates have “periods.” Dogs have an oestrus cycle, I.e, they come into oestrus/heat. I have heard they sometimes have vaginal bleeding for other reasons but the blood lining in the uterus is absorbed. Hmm wish we could do that!

But its still a good decision for the reason editor said!

Answer #3

Nope. Spayed means the ovaries and uterus are removed – the dog will no longer have her period. It will also decrease the chance of her escaping / wandering when in heat, and eliminate her chance of getting uterine cancer. It’s a great decision.

Answer #4

no! Oncr she is spayed there will not be any problems.and it has nonthing to do with your mother or you

Answer #5
