Chihuahua won't go to restroom and POOP!
We have a 5 month old male chihuahua who will not poop. He is current with all vaccines and recently had a Parvo test which was negative. He is still active and playful, and will drink water. His appetite is fine also, but he just won’t do #2. It has been a coupleof days and we are getting very concerned. Any suggetsions?
He may be going poop and than eating it. SO you just don’t know he has pooped. Yes little dogs are really bad about this.
You could give him a little fish oil or even vegetable on his food and it will make him go.
He could have eaten something that you did not see and may be causing problems, symptons my not be there yet and I would not wait, I would go to a vet, these little guys go down fast if not treated. I have a male and female and have had plenty of litter and work at a Vet Hopital. You said he is eating so whatever goes in must come out. My guys poop everyday, so I would say this is a little strange, Is his belly asended. ( really big?) Has he had a stool check to check for intestinal paristies? Imagine what you would feel like if you have not pooped in a couple of days. He may just need eniema.
Him /her must be scraed so need to take him/her to the the vet p.s. I feel sorry for your doggy:(
