Why won't my dog potty train? She is 1 years old and she will still go in the

house sometimes. I think she has it down and then she will go in the house. Its mostly just pooping but every now and then she will pee. Plus she never does anything to tell me she has to go not even standing by the door or anything if i haven’t taken her out in awhile and she has to go she will just do it. Sometimes she will even after I just took her out. What should i do?

How consistent and routine are you with taking her out. You need to ensure you do it the same time each day and praise her hecticly when she does it right. Also do you get cross with her when she pees in the house? With dogs even negative attention is attention and will reinforce the behaviour. So you need to ignore mishaps. Then some breeds take longer than others to potty train. I have a basset which was a mission initially to train even a year in.
