Is $1300 a good price for a 2000 Dodge Intrepid?

Answer #1

Depends on what it has and how it’s been taken care of. Often times paying such a low price on a vehicle means it usually falls under this category:

•Has high mileage (100K+) •Has missing/broken features (windows, power, stereo, etc.) •Out of warranty •Mechanical problems (transmission, converter, etc.)

As Aleksandr the manlet posted it depends on many of those factors as well as the area and cost of living where you live. Like a house, the cost can vary depending on the area and cost of living there.

Well according to KBB http://funadvice.com/r/16b2ggigvhj 4 Door Sedan with stock options with about 100,000 miles on it is worth about $2,300 in “Good” Condidtion.

So for $1,300 I would guess either is more around the 200,000 mile mark (Which puts in it the very high millage area, and I would be iffy on), something mechanically or cosmetically is wrong with it, or the seller just wants it gone.

Sometimes you do just get a good deal. I would look at it, and take a friend with you (preferably one with some mechanic know how) for a second opinion.

If you are on the hunt for a good deal on a car sometimes it can take a while. Doesn’t hurt to look.

It actually had 150005 miles on it and it is in very good condition and very clean

Answer #5

Yah that prices sounds ok then. Its about $400 under blue book. Just check it thoroughly mechanically. Hate to have to put $800 worth of work into 3 months down the road.
