Why won't my Retail Plus DVD+/-RW Ultra Slim USB 2.0 external CD drive work?

I got it for hristmas and it has worked great up until now. It will turn on for like 10 seconds (light will come on and will make the noises even let me put a cd in it) but then it just suddenly stops. I have everything installed for it and I haven’t dropped it, when I am not using it it sits in its box under my bed. Could it be the usb thingy maybe?

can you try it in another usb port, i mean if your plugging and unplugging you could have loosened the port and its not making 100% contact.

if its he same in a different port can you try it in another system?

i tried it on my parents computer and it worked great. Could it be my computer?

computer, i wouldnt think so…. id guess its the port, did you try a different port, usb port?

have you tried a complete uninstall of the software and a reinstall?

I couldn’t find the software to reinstall it so I gave up for a bit went to work and just tried it again and for some reason it is working again that was really weird :/
