Why won't my LG USB cable work anymore?

I have had my cellphone LG KS360 for about 6 months and my USB cable worked fine. But suddenly 2 weeks ago I got: found new hardware wizard. And it says that I have to put in something were it came from or it’s CD but sin it actually doesn’t need a CD or something I can’t do anything. Know I tried working with my USB cable again but know it doesn’t do anything only charge my phone. and on my laptop I get the found new hardware wizard again. what sould I do to make it work normal again or is it broken?

I had the same problem. after like 3 months without using the cord it fixed itself, no idea how

go into ur menu click on connectivity then click usb connection then change the setting data service to mass storage and it should work. i figured it out by looking at my brothers phone because mine was not working and i realised i accidently changed my setting
