well I’ve never really thought about it but now that I do I think back to that time and women weren’t really well respected back then. god would have wanted to send someone that people would listen to and at the time it would have been male. nowadays if god created the messiah he could send male or female.

Because in those times men would traditional be more open to listening to a man then they would a women. I am sorry if that offends you but in those times thats how men acted. G-d is not politically correct, he isnt going out there like politicians trying to suck up to the people. Fact is G-d has used women, look up the story of Deborah, she was the first women G-d appointed as a leader. Why her? simple, because ALL of the men were too scared to lead at that time because there was a seemingly impending doom upon them.

well, if it were a woman we’ld be wondering why it wasn’t a man then again, the bible is more prejudice toward women, as you said. Men were more prompt to listening to another guy, but then again, wouldn’t that be more reason to make it a female? To perhaps even things out between the genders.
