How to get over being mentally tired?

I’m tired. Not physically, I get enough sleep. But mentally, or spiritually, or somethingally I’m tired. I’m not sure why, and I don’t know how to get over it, but I’m tired.

Dear kamex,

Being mentally tired is usually a result of stress.

We deal with good and bad stress daily. Also if we feel overloaded with decisions and choices daily.

It’s been shown that we should give the brain something different to do like puzzles.

Something that makes us think but does not cause stress.

It’s the same reasoning behind having Alzheimer patients doing puzzles.

It stimulates the brain and keeps it from getting sleepy.

The problem is if your tired mentally the last thing you think you want to do is stimulate it but like exercise the more you do the more results you see.

So like Nike says “just do it” find yourself some good puzzles or games and take 10-20 minutes daily and you will see results soon.

Sue…good luck

Have a nice long hot bath. Also a good one is to stay up for as long as you possibly can. Then set an alarm to go off in 6-7hrs. Then go to bed. When it goes off. You’ll feel tired at first. But an hour later. You’ll feel great..

Tried & tested..

Hi,

I think you should try yoga or meditation. It’s like exercise for the brain. If that’s not your kind of thing or there aren’t classes around, try taking a bath with the lights dim and just relax your muscles and your brain will follow!
