Who thinks 5 grams of fat is too much for a meal?

Ok, so I made a leancuisine for lunch today, and it has 5 grams of fat!! Is that a bit too much for one meal?

Answer #1

The idea that consuming fat is bad for you is complete fiction. Fat is bad for maintaining your weight because it has a higher caloric concentration, not because there is something in fat that is evil. Fat is necessary part of maintaining proper nervous system function, as every nerve in your body is sheathed in fat. If you are thinking that 5g of fat is bad for you, you are headed down a very dangerous dietary road.

Even the evidence that fat leads to clogged arteries has started to crumble in recent years. So stop worrying about fat. Worry about total caloric consumption, which is the ONLY factor that has reliably been shown to contribute to weight gain or loss.

Answer #2

NO! You’re recommended to have 60g in one day, so 5g for a whole meal is absolutely nothing.
