Wheelchair Accessability

Are there any really flat and accessable resorts for wheelchair users? Mostly interested in places like the Carribean. American friendly.

Answer #1

You should talk to a travel agent about this - they would certainly have a wide resource of places that are wheelchair accessible.

I don’t know if the Caribbean has the same public laws we do, but most places that are for public use are wheelchair friendly.

Answer #2

In addition to talking with a travel agent, you could check out guidebooks like the Lonely Planet series - Iknow that they usually specifically mention if a place is wheelchair/disabled-friendly.

Or search the net for information about palces you’d like to go, and when you find somewhere that looks good, get the address of a hotel, resort or the tourism information agency, and email them directly.
