The one thing no doctor or health specialist is ever willing to tell you: Your body isn’t ready to lose weight. I was the same way. I ran (RAN) every weekday from ages 14 to 18 and actually got fatter as I got older. Some people have the unfortunate curse of their body’s genes negating any possibility of weight-loss. I turned 19 and a few months later my face slimmed up, my stomach came in, my man-boobs shrunk and the muscle underneath came right out into the open. My doctor just scratched his head, swearing I only recently started working out for real, and my ex-girlfriend got REALLY jealous of my new body…

It sucks, and the only explanations I know of is either your salt in-take is so high that you retain water in your fat cells so they can’t shrink, you have issues processing sugars (too much or too little), or your chemical makeup is going to keep you that way until you stop growing.

Just keep exercising and drinking only water and hope your body catches up with your desire to lose weight.

It’s not all about exercise. You have to eat right and that doesn’t mean just eating veggies. It means 3 square meals a day try to reduce your carb intake. Also if you split your meals up to 6 smaller meals everyday this will work more efficiently as it will increase your metabolism over time.

Well, sometimes it’s not about weight. Maybe you’re losing fat and gaining muscle. Just measure yourself (bust, waist, hips, thigs and legs) with a measuring tape. Record your measurements and keep track. :D Good luck hun!
