Is eating only baby spinach and cheese salads healthy?

If a diet plan went like this: Breakfast: Cheese stick. Lunch: Spinach salad with mozzarella cheese. Dinner: Spinach salad with mozzarella cheese. After-workout: Jillian Michaels Protein Shake. My friend is doing this…is it healthy? (She is losing weight like crazy!)

Answer #1

For the record:

Eating oil can NOT give you acne. Just because you consume oil, that does not mean it travels through your stomach lining, into your veins, onto your skin, and clogs your pores. Digestion does not work that way. ‘You are what you eat’ is not meant to be taken so literally.

There are many causes for acne – hormones, dirty skin, stress – but eating oil, sugar, fat, or chocolate is not one of them.

Likewise, eating cheese doesn’t make you any fatter than eating anything else with the same caloric content. If you eat 2,000 calories of cheese, you’ll gain the same amount of weight as if you ate 2,000 calories of radishes. Again, digestion does not work that way. If you eat milk fat, it does not automatically get turned into fat inside your body.

Answer #2

Sounds like she is losing weight because she is starving herself. I hope she stops this nonsense pretty soon.

Answer #3

It sounds like a starvation diet… not enough calories… so no… not healthy…

Answer #4

You need a balanced diet to be healthy. Eating nothing but two things every day for every meal is not that healthy even though it is a healthy item.

She can mix it up and introduce whole grains, protein, and such for a better diet.

Answer #5

Anytime you eat a lot of one thing and do not vary your diet, it’s not very healthy. There’s simply no way to get all the vitamins and minerals a body needs to continue functioning properly from one or two food items. Weight loss is one thing, but going into renal failure from a lack of Vitamin A is something else entirely.

Answer #6

Not to much cheesey. CHeese has oli,it can cause acne and make ya fat. :P

Answer #7

Normally it’s not good to eat only 1 or 2 things because you miss out on some nutrients. But spinach is high in several nutrients, and cheese covers the missing protein and B-12, so she should be fine as long as she isn’t starving herself. Tell her to add a handful of walnuts each day, consume sufficient iodized salt (1/2 tsp. per day) and get a little sun each day and she should be good to go.

All you haters out there should eat more spinach, even if it’s not the main part of your diet.

Answer #8

She may loose weight no, but when she goes back to her natural eating routine she’ll gain weight. The only thing that is going to accomplish is temporary weight loss and ruining your metabolism. Here, try this

also, don’t forget to work out. Best work outs are full body workout, they help burn fat quicker.
