I’ve been talking to this guy for a few weeks now and I really like him and he says he loves me. I want to date him, but hes black and my mom wont let me date him. I dont know why my mom is racist. Because im deffinatley not racist. What should I do???

Remind your mom that skin color does not determine the characteristics or personality of a person. Sit down with her and explain your feelings for this guy and make sure to mention all the great things you like about him. Try and get him and your mom to meet so she can see, talk and understand him. If she still won’t let you date him, then I would personally defy her. It’s your life, and you really wouldn’t be doing anything wrong.
