If you have children you would be eligible for WIC, and prob food stamps, medical for the kids. Otherwise, probably not. I agree w/ morganhilljr–get out and apply yourself. You can play on FunAdvice AFTER you get home from work, not when you could be looking for work. Don’t mean to sound harsh, but…well, take that back–yes I do. :/

Answer #2

stay off welfare if you can.. crappy job or not live below your means and suck it up… Your pride and self esteem take a major hit when you rely on handouts for a living.. On the other hand, if you suck it up and make something of yourself BY yourself, FOR yourself.. It’s a feeling of accomplishment that can never be taken away…

Answer #3

You do not deserve welfare. Save your money and then get a place. Welfare is not for 21 year olds who just want out of mommie’s house.

welfare is a temporary solution till I can get back onmy feet I dont want it forever in fact I dont really want to go on it I hate taking handouts have never taken them through out my lifetime and people are pushing me to take them now its for a year I just wanted to try and make my life better although some seem to think living in my care and bathing a few times a week is a good idea ill stick with it I guess

Answer #7

Sorry, welfare is not for you… Welfare is not so you can “get your own place” Take a second job…
