Where is the love?

After 9/11 people stopped btching and we basically united not just as Americans but as human beings. But a year or so later people started their btching again, and blaming our own government for the terrorist attacks.

Then came Katrina, and at first all anyone cared about was the welfare of others. But it was probably within the same week everyone started saying they blew up the levees, and once again blaming Bush for not evacuating everyone when they new the hurricane was coming, when it was the state’s responsibility to do so.

Everyone uniting after 9/11 gave me hope, but after Katrina everyone started their b*tching and hate mongering so fast it seems even a tragedy and a bunch of people dying isn’t enough anymore.

Why does everyone always b*tch and hate on everyone and everything, and blame everyone for everything, and break everyone down into factions and get them all to hate on each other for everything, and blame everything on each other? I’m sick of it. I’d like to believe that mankind in generally good, but it’s always the people who think that the human race are a devouring cancer on the Earth who are devouring the Earth with their cancerous hate. They’re all a bunch of hateful hypocrites and I’m sick of them all pretending they like preach peace and love and say humans suck and we should be good to each other, but then turn around and hate hate hate hate hate.

Where is the love?

Answer #1

I don’t have love for hate mongers. I’m nice to nice people. But when someone’s a jerk, they can go be a jerk in a dark cave full of rabid zombie children.

Answer #2

Excellent description of the world we live in today - common sense has left the building - greed rampant - doom and gloom rampant - pitting one side against the other common - the evidence of moving towards the last days mounting.

Answer #3

How exactly am I being a ‘hate monger’ or ‘ jerk’, by pointing out how people need to come together to look after our planet better than how we have been? I want future generations to enjoy the things we take for granted, like clean air & water. I think you have me mixed up with someone else.

Answer #4

Do “Do you think religious people are narrow minded?” and “Are white humans like a cancer on the Earth?” ring a bell? That’s exactly the kind of hate mongering I was pointing out. That, and your initial reply to my question was full of all-cap’d words and hate mongering accusations.

I personally don’t have much of a hand in destroying the Earth, and based on your blabbering I assume you make excessive conscious decisions to do things to lessen your own personal destruction of the Earth, but still you insist on trying to force everyone else to listen to your complaining and also make excessive conscious decisions and change their way of life in attempt of ‘saving the planet’.

If you don’t believe in religion, what about you beloved obsession with evolution? Does the earth itself not have the capability to evolve and adapt to right what environmental wrongs exist? If Mother Nature is such an all powerful and important entity, I sincerely doubt humans even have the capability to unintentionally destroy the earth.

Call me optimistic, but I believe that in the end, the universe tends to unfold as it should. Wait, I’m sorry, optimism = blindness, arrogance, and stupidity to you people. Pessimism, fear, and hatred is your preferred social working.

Answer #5

I sincerely doubt humans even have the capability to unintentionally destroy the earth. ??? At today’s levels of economic activity, the human race is operating 30 percent above what the Earth can provide without suffering serious damage. Wildlife populations in the world’s forest, freshwater and marine environments have declined by one third over the last 30 years. If people in the developing world consumed as much as those living in the richest countries, the human race would need another two planet Earths to cope. We are relentlessly taking over the planet, laying it to waste and eliminating most of our fellow species. Moreover, we’re doing it much faster than the mass extinctions that came before. Every year, up to 30,000 species disappear due to human activity alone. At this rate, we could lose half of Earth’s species in this century. And, unlike with previous extinctions, there’s no hope that biodiversity will recover, since the cause - us - is here to stay.

I personally don’t have much of a hand in destroying the Earth ?? We ALL do, whether we like it or not. You think we should just carry on as we are, because you think everything will be fine. Your optimistic… So when there is an oil spill, we should just leave it…the earth will clean it up…ummm, ok

And maybe you also believe everything written in religious text is true. For example how the entire animal kingdom was repopulated from the animals aboard Noah’s Ark. Common sense & biological science tells me otherwise, this is just one example about my question whether religious people were narrow minded to believe this or not. It’s a question not a statement, I am looking for peoples views.

You can believe what you like, but by calling people pessimistic jerks for having an educated opinion, it is YOU who is hate mongering.

Answer #6

I think you are misinterpreting hate for anger. Yes hate derives from anger, but in this instance there is anger because there are people who are unsatisfied by the corruption of our government.

I think after 9/11, a lot of people came to the realization that we could die, had someone close to them die, or came to a place of acceptance (in the process of confronting death).

The freedom to to unite and vocalize our opinions (however angry they may be) is what is so good about this government (probably one of the only good things left!)

Answer #7

Well when you look at the damage humans have done to this planet, it is obvious we are consuming TOO MUCH…you must be blind if you can’t see that. YES, we are like a cancer on the surface of the planet…MINING, DEFORESTATION, OVER FISHING, OVER POPULATING, etc, etc Those hateful hypocrites as you call them just want a better future for the next generation, where’s your LOVE? They don’t think humans SUCK but they do want CHANGE. Unfortunately it’s up to world governments to implement change, if we don’t speak up WHO WILL LISTEN???

Answer #8

You seem to be breeding hate by using abusive language. Again I ask…Where is your love???

Answer #9

Ok, man.

Answer #10

I’m doing my part. Go monger your hate somewhere else, jerk. Like in a dark cave. Full of rabid zombie children.

Answer #11

well people just blame bush if their stupid and my granpa gets a kick out of it

Answer #12

I dont know why it is that way other than hate usually comes to hurt I have hurt a lot of people and know how easy it is to hate and be hated I have stoped that circle and pretty much became a martre where I am and not many even know it, it is a mess. The whole world is a mess and it is obvious you still have good intentions or you would not have noticed so keep trying it will help you in the end to understand. what that means to you you will have to decide that on you own. it depresses me as much as you and I sometimes feel hopeless, but dont give up as long as there are those like us that can see the world as a whole there is hope as dime as it seems
