How can I become a better swimmer?
I’m in the highschool, a freshmen, and my gym class is coed and very large. I have no friends in my class, nobody I know. Second quarter there are two weeks of swimming we have to do, and I’m really scared. I’m small for my age, not in height wise really, i’m normal there, but I way only around 96 pound and I’m not really a strong swimmer (no, I am not anorexic. My mother was the same way. We’re just tinier.) Okay, I’m horrible at swimming. Aaand we’ll probably be swimming in the deep end, right, since we’re in highschool now. I don’t like the deep end. I can keep myself afloat, do the basic strokes, but I can’t dive and I like the reassurance of being able to touch the bottom of the pool… I get tired out quickly, so swimming the pool, like a single lap without stopping, often leaves me somewhat exhausted. I’ll be the last at everything or whatever we do and I just…ah! Am I the only one like this? Probably am in my class :( Help.. :(
If you have tried for a while and still do not get better, I think you need a professional help. or you can visit the HOW TO’s in this site.
What do you mean by proffessional help?
I can swing, but if they say “Swim two laps” I might make it one and a half, but I would still need a break..
