Would it look stupid to draw a picture then paint the background?

Answer #1

Do you mean to draw the subject of your picture and then the background?

Answer #2

like draw the subject with regular pencil then paint its background, so the subject will be black and white and its background will be colorful

Answer #3

Ohh, well, it really would depend on the colors you use. Painting, if you use acrylics or oils and such, tend to have a bright and vibrant color which may not go well with regular pencil. If I were to do that, I would probably make sure that the pencil part is nice and dark, high contrast, and then paint using muted colors or somewhat muted colors, or perhaps watercolor instead.

Answer #4

okaay, thank youu!

Answer #5

There is no such word as stupid for art, you can even hang your picture upside down :) Be creative and there you make the break through.

Answer #6

no i think that sounds super cool i love when different utensils are used together! But since you want the picture to stand out the most not the background (im just guessing) I would use paint for the picture since its darker and will stand out more and then pencil or whatever you using for the background
