Yes, editing photos is considered a form of art. Art is anything creative. As for careers in the type that you enjoy you could look into jobs working for magazines, tv shows, movies, etc - they all require a person to edit the pictures and film. Graphic design may also be something that you might enjoy.

Yes, photo editing is art. Though to be hired by companies to edit pictures for them, you are going to need to get some certificates and qualifications under your belt. Anybody can edit photos, and there are a lot of other people that are as good as you are at editing. You need to find something that makes what you do special and different to the millions of other people trying to get a career in photography, design, and arts. You could try out some graphic design workshops or photography courses to see if you want to study further in that field.

It’s good that you pointed out competition. The best thing for a photo editor to do sometimes is to either join a company or start their own. Just being a guy with a computer doesn’t really appeal to too many customers.
